DSK 'flew hookers from France days before arrest'

Dominique Strauss-Kahn took part in an orgy with prostitutes in New York just days before his arrest on attempted rape charges, it was claimed.

French press reports cited several unnamed sources as claiming prostitutes travelled to New York from France late last year and in May for sex sessions with the former IMF chief.

The 62-year-old was arrested on May 14 of this year and charged with trying to rape Nafissatou Diallo, a chambermaid at the Sofitel hotel in Manhattan. He was later cleared of the charges.

"According to certain sources, prostitutes allegedly flew to New York 'late 2010', and even 'May 2011'," according to 'France Soir' newspaper.

"Police are now looking at airline bookings made at the time to verify these elements," it wrote.

The claims emerged as judges probe allegations that luxury hotels in Lille, northern France, served as a base for a prostitution network with clients including senior police officers, lawyers and politicians.

Mr Strauss-Kahn has denied all the allegations at the weekend. (©Daily Telegraph, London)
