Downing of Germanwings plane is the latest in a long line of tragic air crashes
The German Wings Airbus A320 budget airline which crashed in the French Alps is just the latest in a long line of aviation disasters over the last 12 months.

On July 17 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, a Boeing 777 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, is shot down over eastern Ukraine, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew on board in the deadliest civilian airliner incident.
Air Asia 8501
Last December, Indonesia AirAsia Flight 8501, an Airbus A320 en route from Surabaya, Indonesia to Singapore, crashes into waters off Borneo, killing all 155 passengers and 7 crew on board.
