D&G boss hits out at €343.3m tax fine

Stefano Gabbana, the fashion designer, has attacked a decision by a Milan court fining him and his business partner €343.3m for tax evasion.

Mr Gabbana, who with Domenico Dolce runs the Dolce & Gabbana fashion house, vented his fury on Twitter.

"To be accused of something untrue is not a beautiful thing," he wrote. "But in the end, who cares, we will all finish up six feet under. I am interested in making clothes and that's all."

The Italian designers lost their appeal on Friday in a lengthy court case.

It is unclear whether they will take the latest decision to the next level of appeal. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
