A couple have been banned from a London shopping centre after being captured on CCTV engaging in a sex act while their children were present.
Fahad Bilal (26) and his wife, Akeela Ali (25) were found guilty of 'outraging public decency' and were banned from "coming within the M25" for eight weeks after the incident at Shepherd's Bush Westfield shopping centre.
Central News reporters at Hammersmith magistrate's court reported that the couple were recorded engaging in oral sex 'while their children watched' on a couch in the lift lobby lounge at the shopping centre.
Ali reportedly told the police that the incident "just happened" and blamed it on pregnancy hormones, Buzzfeed News reports.
Speaking to the court, the prosecutor described the incident, which happened around 8pm on a sofa facing three elevators on the first floor of the centre.
"Mrs Ali sat beside her husband and lifted the jacket on his groin".
"This went on for around 10 minutes. They were interrupted several times by the children".
He explained to the court that the incident then progressed to an oral sex act.
He continued that "she felt what they were doing was wrong but they carried on", adding that Ali "was aware that one of the children was sitting beside Mr Bilal for a portion of the event".
The court was told that Ali "regretted the incident and was ashamed" and Bilal was "not happy" with what he described as a "human mistake".
