Chunky cat in need of new home
A fat cat needs a new home after tipping the scales at more than 10kg – double a cat's recommended weight.
Chunky is being cared for by staff at Cats Protection's Cornwall Adoption Centre after his former owners admitted they were unable to help him lose weight.
The six-year-old ginger male weighed 10.7 Kg when he was brought in during April. A healthy adult cat should weigh between four and five kilos.
Centre manager Mark Magee said: "We are now looking to find him a home in the Cornwall area where his new owners will help Chunky towards his ideal target weight, with the centre on hand to provide advice."
The charity said Chunky is best suited to a house with no young children or other pets.
