Cameron instagram an 'accident'

London Daily Telegraph

David Cameron's sister-in-law – who posted a picture of the napping British prime minister on the Instagram website used by millions – claims she only meant to share the image with eight friends.

It was a seemingly ordinary pre-wedding picture other than the fact that, in the background was the prime minister, barefoot and asleep on a four-poster bed.

Emily Sheffield, deputy editor at British Vogue, posted the image of her sister Alice and the PM on the social media website Instagram which was soon 'liked' and shared thousands of times.

However yesterday morning she posted a message on Twitter calling herself an "idiot".

She wrote: "Ok so I am the idiot today. For the record I had 8 followers when posted, all family and friends, then forgot to remove it #amateur." (© Daily Telegraph, London)
