Three struck by hit-and-run driver after brawl outside TOWIE nightclub in early hours
Three people were struck by a hit-and-run driver after a street brawl outside a nightclub featured on The Only Way Is Essex.
Two men and a woman were taken to hospital - two with serious injuries - after being hit by a blue Audi at around 3.10am outside the Sugar Hut in Brentwood.
Essex Police said the incident on Sunday morning followed a fight in the street involving a group of around 20 people.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Jennings, of the Essex and Kent Serious Crime Directorate, said: "We would like to speak to anyone who was inside the Sugar Hut during the evening but outside between 2.30am and 3.30am this morning.
"The incident happened as hundreds of people left night time establishment to go home.
"We are reviewing CCTV and we are particularly keen to talk to anyone who was filming outside during the disturbance.
"We are also patrolling and engaging with people in the High Street to provide reassurance and seek out any additional information which may support our investigations.
"This incident is being treated as an isolated incident and we don't believe there is any risk to the wider public. We would urge members of public to go about the daily business as usual."
