London police re-open Victoria Coach Station, confirm package 'is not suspect' Newsdesk Newsdesk

London police have assured the public a reported suspect package at Victoria Coach Station has been cleared and was not suspect.

Police closed London's Victoria Coach Station and the surrounding streets on Tuesday morning, the BBC reported, after finding a reported suspect package.

"A suspect package is being checked out," a Metropolitan police spokesman said.

Police described it is an "ongoing incident", but confirmed within minutes that the package was not suspicious.

"The reported suspect package at Victoria Coach Station has now been cleared. Not suspicious. Thanks for your patience," Met Police said.

The UK is on high security alert following a fatal blast at Manchester Arena last night.

At least 22 people, including children, have been confirmed dead following the blast.

Parents are also sharing images of their missing children on social media in the hope to find their whereabouts.
