'Fun-loving and caring young girl who will be dearly missed' - funeral held for child (3) who may have been murdered
The family of a three-year-old girl who police suspect might have been murdered have paid tribute to a "fun-loving" girl on the day of her funeral.
Bethan Colebourn was taken to Salisbury District Hospital after police and paramedics were called to an address in Whitsbury Road, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, on October 19.
She was pronounced dead later that evening and a post-mortem examination was inconclusive pending the results of further tests.
Hampshire police confirmed that the funeral was held on Wednesday for Bethan.
Her family said in a statement: "Family and friends are devastated at our tragic loss.
"Bethan brought so much happiness and joy to so many people's lives.
"Bethan was a fun-loving, adventurous and caring young girl who will be dearly missed.
"She will be in our hearts and minds forever."
A 35-year-old woman was arrested at the property in connection with Bethan's death after being treated by paramedics.
She was detained on suspicion of murder but was taken to hospital after suffering a "medical episode" and later released.
A police spokesman said that she remains under investigation.
