A ballet teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy walked free from court after admitting abducting the youngster.
Sarah Pirie (27), who flouted a police order not to continue her inappropriate relationship with a talented and vulnerable boy dancer, was handed a suspended jail term at Preston Crown Court in north-west England yesterday.
The court heard the teacher committed a "serious breach of trust" when they met and she gave him a lift in her car a week after she was banned from having any contact with him. Victim Reece Washington, who waived his anonymity, told a newspaper that they had sex on the backseat of her car.
Sentencing Pirie to 35 weeks, suspended for two years, Judge Michael Byrne accepted there had been no sexual activity between the pair.
