Cyclist refuses to stop after mowing down toddler Newsdesk Newsdesk

Shocking CCTV shows the moment a toddler was dragged 12 feet along the pavement by a ‘hit and run’ cyclist.

The incident happened outside the home of youngster Lucie Wilding in Blackpool in England, and was recorded by the family’s home security system.

The three-year-old can be seen stepping out from her front gate and walking toward her mom, when the cyclist, speeding along the footpath, smacks into her.

With her body caught in the pedals, the little girl is dragged along the pavement as her father jumps over the garden’s wall and gives chase.

The cyclist fled the scene, leaving Lucie with cuts to her face, head, hands and knees, but not before swearing abuse at the family.

“I was expecting him to say ‘I’m so sorry, is everyone okay’ or something like that but there was nothing. As soon as he got up he started swearing at us, as if it was Lucie’s fault that he had hit her,” said the toddler’s mother Lauren Howarth

Lancashire police said they had identified a man in his 20s who had agreed to come in for questioning.
