Zoopla and uSwitch owner ZPG has cheered a solid start to its financial year after its websites and apps attracted 53 million online visitors on average a month and the group had signed “multiple new long-term” deals with “some of the UK’s largest estate agents and mortgage lenders” in the last three months of 2017.
A surge in food-to-go sales helped drive a 9.2% rise in UK and Ireland revenues at convenience food firm Greencore over the 13 weeks to December 29. The group said food-to-go sales raced 12.2% higher, or 11.4% on a pro forma basis. Greencore reported group-wide pro forma revenues up 7.2% at £640.5 million and said it is set to deliver a “year of strong growth”. It announced plans on Monday to sell its cakes and desserts business to Bright Blue Foods for an undisclosed sum.
