'Captive' for 10 years

Store a hive of activity

A woman who was 15 when she disappeared from her California home 10 years ago has contacted police saying she was held against her will for years. The Santa Ana Police Department said yesterday her captor, Isidro Garcia (41) pictured, had been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping for rape, lewd acts with a minor and false imprisonment.

Police say the victim was dating Garcia in 2004, when she was 15 and after assaulting her mother, he drugged the girl and drove her to a house in Compton, where he locked her in a garage. Police say he used physical and emotional abuse to prevent her from fleeing. The woman, now 25, came forward after finding her sister on Facebook.
