Baldwin to testify in stalker case
Alec Baldwin probably is not relishing his latest role - a courtroom confrontation with a Canadian actress charged with stalking him.
The actor is expected to give evidence in Genevieve Sabourin's trial in New York City today.
Prosecutors say she bombarded Baldwin with messages professing her love and turned up uninvited at his New York and Hamptons homes in 2012.
Baldwin told police that he has had dinner with her but that their relationship was purely professional.
She says they had a 2010 tryst and a two-way exchange of emails. Her lawyer says she was not stalking the 30 Rock star - just seeking "closure" after he stopped talking to her.
Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, is also expected to testify.
Baldwin's spokesman has declined to comment on the trial.
