Police in Australia have launched an urgent appeal to help find two missing teenagers and their three-day-old baby after they disappeared from hospital.

Jayden Lavender (14) and Jenifer Morrison (15) left Nepean Hospital in New South Wales on Thursday with their newborn baby.

Police say they left on foot and were possibly accompanied by an older man.

In a statement, New South Wales police said: "There are concerns for the welfare of all three children.

"Police are asking the public to be on alert and report any sightings of the teenagers and baby.

"They have links to the state’s Central Coast and Mount Druitt areas."
