Dramatic CCTV footage has been released of a waterspout ripping through a school on the Gulf of Thailand on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was captured on closed circuit television cameras in the Satree Prasertsin school in Trat, Thailand.
Nine female students were injured when the waterspout hit, Bangkok Post reports.
More than 30 houses, two schools and three cars were damaged.
A waterspout is a rare occurrence when water droplets formed by condensation form an intense vortex over water.
They mostly form in the tropics, although they have also been reported in Europe, New Zealand and the Antartica.
