North Korea: Kim Jong-un meets country's military in bizarre footage
North Korea's state-run television broadcasts bizarre footage of Kim Jong-un meeting the country's military officers.
Kim Jong-un was filmed having an outdoor meeting with commanding officers of the Korean People's Army and delivering a speech on Tuesday.
The country's official news agency reported that Kim said the current situation on the peninsula is "grave" and that his military will "crush the hostile US policy" against Pyongyang.
Military officers are said to have pledged to guard their leader at the meeting, which took place at inactive volcano Mount Paektu, described in national folklore as his father's birthplace.
The meeting was held days after Pyongyang threatened to conduct what it called "a new form of nuclear test".
