US restaurant to offer lion tacos
A taco restaurant in Arizona has already served up python, alligator, elk, kangaroo, rattlesnake and turtle and will now add lion to its menu.
Boca Tacos y Tequila said it is accepting orders for African lion tacos, to be served from February 16.
Bryan Mazon said there are already a few reservations from curious customers.
Mr Mazon said his restaurant started offering exotic tacos on its menu every Wednesday about six months ago and has tried "just about anything we can get our hands on."
According to the US Food and Drug Administration, lion and other game meat can be sold as long as the species is not endangered.
The Arizona Daily Star said most of Boca's exotic tacos range between three and four dollars ( £1.80 and £2.50).
The lion tacos will cost 8.75 dollars (£5.50) apiece.
