UK's luckiest postcode revealed
Ilford is Britain's "luckiest town" with more lottery winners per person than any other postcode, figures have shown.
The Essex town's postcode, IG, toppled Medway Towns (ME) from first place into third to claim pole position with a top prize winner for one in every 6,722 ticketholders, the National Lottery said.
Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE) soared to second spot with one in every 6,884 players after only entering the top ten for the first time in 2006.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "The Ilford postcode seems to be back on a lucky streak after regaining the top ranking from Medway Towns but it's got strong competition from the Newcastle postcode which is hot on its heels after another lucky year.
"Now that the Bromley postcode has entered the top ten, it's Kent and the North East which are dominating the luck rankings with three postcodes each featuring this year.
"No matter where you live, however, with an average of 20 millionaires created in each postcode and £36 billion paid out in prizes since 1994, it's clear that lottery luck has touched every part of the UK."
The total prize winnings for the luckiest top 10 postcodes since the launch of The National Lottery in 1994 is over £1.1 billion (£1,190,165,082).
