Two men from the same part of Scotland have banked £1 million each following wins in separate lottery draws over Christmas.
The pair, both from Aberdeenshire, became overnight millionaires after playing the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle.
The first man, who has not been identified and is known only as "Mr M", was one of 25 guaranteed millionaires created by the draw on Friday December 23.
One week later, luck returned to the area and a mystery winner named "Mr R" scooped the seven-figure sum on December 30.
Lottery organisers said both men had played EuroMillions interactively, either through the National Lottery website or the play by text service for mobile phones.
A spokeswoman for the National Lottery said: "There must have been something special in the water in Aberdeenshire over Christmas.
"Well done to both of the new millionaires, they have banked their prizes with just a few simple clicks - they didn't even have to pick up a ticket."
