Thousands of naked cyclists have pedalled their way round Mexico City to demand more respect on the road from car drivers.

The eighth annual Naked Bike Ride in the Mexican capital was part of the International World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR), which has been held each year in 29 cities around the globe since 2004.

The event aims to raise awareness of cycle safety by showing the vulnerability of the naked form, and draw attention to environmental issues by encouraging the use of bicycles instead of cars.
