This man fighting to wear a plastic rain poncho at Wimbledon was always going to lose
Poncho: 15, Man: 0.
When you fight the forces of nature, most of the time there’s only going to be one winner.
Yet, this Wimbledon spectator thought he’d take his chances as he attempted to shield himself from the rain with a plastic poncho.
He didn’t get very far.
Even with the help of his companion, the unfortunate man got as far as slipping his arm through a random hole, before giving up.

His encounter swiftly became a metaphor on Twitter.

Twitter user @JoshL_21 reminded us all of this 2011 Balotelli classic, when the footballer fought with his bib before a Europa League match.

Unlike Balotelli, the Wimbledon fan didn’t win. But at least the poor guy styled it out with his cap.
