The Greens just burned Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn for not taking part in the ITV Leaders' Debate
The pair put out a spoof video on social media.
The co-leaders of the Green Party have mocked Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn with a spoof video on social media ahead of the ITV Leaders’ Debate.
In the video, Caroline Lucas can be seen preparing her speech ahead of the debate show while Jonathan Bartley *helps* her by butting in with what the other leaders would repeatedly say – “strong and stable leadership” from the PM and “a country for the many, not the few” from Corbyn.
But Lucas reminds him that neither of them will be there – a burn that supporters are loving.
Hah. I laughed. Good luck tomorrow! With thorough preparation like that the others don't stand a chance!— Luke Morris (@HamsterOfFury) May 17, 2017
Brilliant, Jonathan and Caroline. Excellent preparations. Well done.— Global Greens (@Global__Greens) May 17, 2017
Caroline, best wishes for the #LeadersDebate on Thursday evening.
But Bartley doesn’t stop there – he goes on to adopt questionable Welsh and Scottish accents to imitate Plaid Cymru’s Leanne Wood and the SNP’s Nicola Sturgeon, who will be in attendance at the debate, which didn’t go down as well with voters.
I think you've just offended the entire population of Wales 😂— Kate🥑 (@KatieIsHungry) May 17, 2017
@jon_bartley I will stop supporting this party I you ever attempt a welsh accent again pls stop— Ind (@pixiepeploe) May 17, 2017
Terrible accent, but I'm still voting for the Greens! 😂😂— Sophie Slade (@CaerleonHogs) May 17, 2017
The ITV Leaders’ Debate line-up will feature Lucas, Wood and Sturgeon alongside Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron and Ukip’s Paul Nuttall.
