A dog may be for life and not just for Christmas, but that didn't stop a group of Manchester pets from having an early festive treat.
The C hill Factore indoor ski centre gave members of the public the chance to bring their pets to a snowy Christmas grotto.
Santa Paws and his elf helpers visited the centre's Snow Kingdom for a morning and it wasn't just limited to ski-dogs. Parrots, rabbits and cats were also invited down to play on real snow and dress up in Christmas outfits.
Dogs and staff from the nearby Manchester Dogs Home were also invited down.
Chill Factore chief executive Morwenna Angove said: "Most animals have never seen real snow before so we are expecting some excitement in and around Santa's Snow Kingdom."
