
It’s almost time for the Queen to announce another full list of birthday honours – but can you guess what title former recipients were granted?
This little quiz could make you the Knight or Dame of honours trivia – and to give you a helping hand here’s a guide to honour’s acronyms:
Knights and Dames
Awarded for a major contribution to a field, usually at a national level. Usually granted for inspirational service and extremely significant.
Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)
Having a prominent but lesser role at national level, or a major role at a regional level. Also for distinguished service in any area.
Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
Having a major role in any activity, including those who have become known at a national level.
Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
Awarded for outstanding achievement or service to a community. Will stand as an example to others.
