People are sharing pictures of the Weston Sand Sculpture Festival and now we're terrified

By Taylor Heyman

This year’s theme is “topsy-turvy”.

The Weston Sand Sculpture Festival is back with a bang this weekend with some weird and wonderful pieces of art.

This year’s theme is Topsy Turvy, because that’s basically the world right now, and people are sharing their snaps of the exhibition online.

Warning – they are pretty darn creepy.

The sculptures are specifically made for the festival, only using sand and water.

You may recognise the face on this flying pig…

So far, so terrifying. But at least someone was happy.

Eamonn Holmes seemed impressed with the depiction of himself and Ruth Langsford on the beach at Weston-super-Mare, using a whole load of emojis to express his approval.

The exhibition opened on Good Friday and will be open until September. Entry is £4 for adults and £3 for children.
