Oh yes, I will - girlfriend accepts panto star's on-stage proposal
An actor went off script during a pantomime to propose to his girlfriend.
Adam Moss was playing Smee in one of the first performances of Peter Pan at the Palace Theatre in Mansfield on Friday when he popped the question.
During a singalong section of the show, Mr Moss told the audience he was going to give a present to his girlfriend of four years, Karen Tomkins.
Following cries of "It's behind you" from the audience, Ms Tomkins turned round to find Mr Moss on one knee.
He said he had been planning the stunt for more than six months and added: "I'm over the moon that Karen said yes … if she had said no it would have gone viral and that would have been awkward."
The bride-to-be, who made it through to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2011, said: "It's not really sunk in yet. I can't believe it happened, but every time I tell someone I feel so happy and excited. Getting engaged this way was so amazing."
