Oh, the irony.
Mondays are the absolute worst – we’d go so far as to say that they are the armpit of the week. After having a bit too much fun this weekend, many of us have had to drag ourselves out of bed this morning and make the dreaded trip into work armed only with an extra large coffee and an ever-so-slightly grumpy attitude.
Which is why it doesn’t really make much sense that today is International Day of Happiness. It’s a day organised by the United Nations “as a way to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world”.
This is undoubtedly an admirable endeavour, but many of us are just having a bit of trouble reconciling this idea of happiness with what is the antithesis of all things cheery: a Monday.
Maybe there was some kind of scheduling problem?
It really is a bit of an oversight from whoever’s in charge.
These people’s faces really say it all.
It’s also grey and drizzly, which doesn’t really help the whole “happiness” thing.
Luckily, someone stepped in with a genius way to help you through this supposedly happy Monday.
