Men 'more romantic than women'
Men appear to be more romantic than women, as they are the sex more likely to celebrate and spend money on Valentine's Day, a survey has found.
Men are 10% more enthusiastic about the romantic day, with 61% planning to celebrate it this year, compared to only 51% of women.
Cupid will also fail to compel more than 40% of women to spend a penny on their significant other this weekend, whereas only 28% of men will do the same.
But despite being the more miserly of the sexes, 65% of women do not want to see the day scrapped compared with 62% of men.
The survey of 1,000 people was carried out by Usurv for the Press Association.
