London Tube stations are displaying defiant messages in response to the Westminster attack

By Prudence Wade

Inspirational noticeboards were exactly what we needed on our commute to work today.

The day after the terrorist attack on Westminster, it was clear from the packed trains on the London Underground that everyone was heading to work as normal.

And some of those travelling on the Tube will have spotted small tokens of comfort and hope. Because what could be more British than showing defiance via whiteboards with inspirational quotes?

Canary Wharf’s offering was a little bit more high-tech than your average Tube whiteboard, but still hit home with a poignant message.

This isn’t the only way that people are getting hope this morning. Some are seeing particularly poignant messages all around the Tube – whether intentionally targeted towards yesterday’s events or not.

Of course, not all the signs doing the rounds on social media were 100% real.

On a day like today, it’s worth keeping this in mind.

But the sentiment was nice anyway.
