Two journalists in Jordan have had a physical fight during a televised debate about the civil war in neighbouring Syria.

The pair literally turned the tables on each other as they broke apart the studio's table in an attempt to scuffle.

The programme aired on the Seven Stars satellite television channel. It featured journalists Shaker al-Johari and Mohammad al-Jayousi.

They were talking about the three-year war pitting rebels against President Bashar Assad's government, a conflict activists say has killed more than 150,000 people.

The debate fell apart as Mr al-Jayousi accused Mr al-Johari of supporting the Syrian rebels. Mr Al-Johari then accused Mr al-Jayousi of taking money for supporting Assad.

The two men fought each other and pulled the table apart in their scuffle.
