Paul Pogba poked fun at his stuttering penalty run-up by replicating the technique as as the Manchester United midfielder walked to his car.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 win against Everton, with the World Cup winner slotting home after his initial spot-kick was saved.

Pogba’s now customary staggered run-up to the spot-kick led to memes aplenty, including a video showing Usain Bolt breaking the 100 metres world record in less time than it took the midfielder to get to the penalty spot.

But after two days of ribbing and scrutiny, the United star showed he was able to laugh at himself in posts on his social media channels.
