Giant duck brings joy to Seoul
A giant yellow duck has docked in the South Korean capital Seoul, much to the surprise of onlookers.
At 54 feet tall and weighing in at 300 kilograms, the duck is the creation of a Dutch instalment artist, Florentijn Hofman, who hopes to spread a message of healing and peace to those who come to see it.
And it seemed to be working.
Lee Yeon-kyung, a dancer who lives in Seoul, said she felt happy by just looking at the duck.
"I heard that (Rubber Duck's) exhibition is meant for healing. As I see this with my eyes, I feel happy because it is so cute," she said.
The giant installation has already done its fair share of kilometres since it spread its wings in 2007, having visited major cities such as Hong Kong, Sydney, and Pittsburgh in the US.
The duck will be on display for 32 days until November 14.
