It was a case of the show must go on for broadcasting veteran Eamonn Holmes this morning, who endured a damp start to the week after a flood in the Sky News studio.

The seasoned interviewer and his Sunrise colleagues were forced to switch sets today after a plumbing issue in the newsroom last night.

It meant the early-morning crew had to be transferred to the more formal surroundings of the Sky News desk.

Writing on Twitter, f ellow presenter Isabel Webster said: " There's been a flood in the Sky News building - it's going to be a 'new look' Sunrise today!"

Holmes added: "Calm down Sunrise viewers. Had a flood in studio. Broken pipe has caused a lot of damage. Our set is out of action. Today only temporary."
