Clegg scores conference bullseye
Nick Clegg will hope his aim is as true with his party conference speech as it was with a virtual bow and arrow after striking gold in a computer game.
The Deputy Prime Minister warmed up for his set-piece bid to reassure doubting activists later today with a tour of exhibitors' stands at the Liberal Democrats' annual gathering in Liverpool.
One featured a console archery game on which Mr Clegg - after firing a practice shot into the virtual trees - racked up a creditable 24 points, shouting "bullseye!" across the hall after hitting a perfect ten with his final shot.
The highly-competitive party leader was disappointed to find himself no higher than third on the leader board however, trailing MPs John Hemming and Ian Swales.
Pity Business Secretary Vince Cable though - his score of just three looks unlikely to leave him anywhere but last.
