Boy knocked out by whale's tail
A 13-year-old boy was knocked unconscious when a humpback whale hit a dinghy with its tail off the coast of Australia.
Drew Hall had been fishing with his parents off the north coast of New South Wales on Sunday morning when the whale breached nearby.
He said he did not see the tail coming when it crashed down on the 17ft boat, smashing its canopy.
The teenager's mother, Karen Hall, said she saw her son knocked to the ground and thought he had been killed.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment for concussion and a broken collar bone. He was discharged later the same day.
