Boy charged over store announcement
A 16-year-old boy accused of making an announcement ordering all black people to leave a Walmart store in the United States has been charged with harassment and bias intimidation.
The boy, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, allegedly grabbed one of the store's courtesy phones in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Police said he then calmly announced: "Attention, Walmart customers: All black people, leave the store now."
The youth was arrested on Friday and released to the custody of his parents.
Police said they did not know whether he had a lawyer.
