Video: Walkabout Elephant Seal takes a stroll an makes it over pedestrian crossing

MOST Elephant Seals rarely leave the sea and return to land only to mate.

But this confused animal, with an estimated weight of over half a tonne, held up traffic for over an hour after he took to the streets of Brazil.

The animal also attracted a large crowd of spectators when it emerged from the Atlantic Ocean.

It attempted to cross the road before slumping in front of a waiting car.

And the 10ft beast spent 90 minutes in the sun before eventually sliding back into the sea.
