A VIDEO showing alleged police brutality in Omaha in the US has gone viral.

The video, uploaded to YouTube last week, shows a police officer throwing a man violently to the ground.

The footage, show from a nearby apartment building, also shows a second man who attempts to film the incident from ground level being pushed away from the scene.

Local news channel KMTV reports that the incident began between the men and the police officers over a parking violation.

Later in the video police officers can be seen striking the man repeatedly, with the man later telling news channel KPTM that the officers also choked him and asked him if he wanted to die.

The other man, who was originally trying to film the incident, went into a nearby house where he was followed by officers.

Police wouldn’t respond to media queries as to whether a warrant was obtained for entering the premises.
