Unabomber's terrorist hideaway up for sale

Nick Allen in Los Angeles

THE remote forest hideaway where the Unabomber planned his terrorist campaign has gone on sale for $69,500 (€52,163).

Potential buyers are being given the opportunity to own a piece of "infamous US history" and, according to the listing, a "one-of-a-kind property, obviously very secluded".

It was on this 1.4-acre patch of land near Lincoln, Montana, that Ted Kaczynski (68) plotted a deadly mail-bombing spree over a period of 17 years, between 1978 and 1995. He was jailed for life.
