Teen (17) arrested after five people shot near Atlanta school

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested by police after shooting five people close to a school in Atlanta.

Three of thsoe shot remain in hospital, however none are believed to be in a life threatening condition.

While four of he victims were students at the school, Therrell High School, it is not known whether the shooter was a student.

The school was briefly placed on lockdown as police attempted to catch the gunman.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.

One student, Hezekiah Bradford, told the Journal-Constitution that he and his twin brother saw a group of more than 20 students running.

He heard at least five gunshots. Hezekiah and his brother ran to a nearby gas station, where they told a woman in a car to call 911.

“I’m worried for some of my friends,” Hezekiah told the newspaper.
