Entertaining as ever, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin sparked a reaction when she issued her New Year message today.

The former Governor of Alaska learned a valuable lesson from her son Trig and the family dog so much that they inspired her to write a New Year philosophy.

The lightbulb moment happened in the kitchen when Palin's son was just trying to help wash the dishes.

Proud Palin watched with glee as her son overcame “all obstacles” and stepped on the family dog to carry out his domestic duty.

She was so heartened by her little boy's actions that she decided to tell the world.

“May 2015 see every stumbling block turned into a stepping stone on the path forward. Trig just reminded me.”
