Outrage as footage of dogs left whimpering outside in New York blizzard goes viral
Footage of two dogs left outside in the raging snow by their owner has gone vital after it was initially shared on Facebook.
The video, shot from a neighbour's house in Brooklyn, New York, shows the barely visible dogs whimpering and crying as they face one of the worst blizzards to hit America in years.
The footage was filmed by Evelyn Tully Costa, who posted that her and other neighbours have been complaining of animal cruelty for 13 years.
"13 years we neighbors have listened to these suffering animals while the owners kept tossing them out right after the police ASPCA walked out the door. Maybe something good will finally happen fit the dogs," she wrote.
The video was posted at 3pm on Saturday, as Storm Jonas battered the city. It already has more than 200,000 views on the social media website.
Ms Tully Costa later posted that the dogs were brought into the house after police arrived at the scene, adding the homeowner had to shovel snow away to even reach the dogs.
