Jesuits agree abuse payout
Jesuits in the US have agreed to pay $166.1m to hundreds of American Indians and Alaska Natives who were abused at the Catholic order's schools around the region.
The settlement also asks the order to provide a written apology to the victims and to share documents with them.
The Oregon Province of the Society of Jesus runs schools in Oregon, Washington state, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. The claims are from victims who were students at reservation and village schools.
