Family looks on in horror as sharks kill snorkelling student
A woman has been killed in a shark attack while holidaying in the Bahamas.
Three sharks savaged Jordan Lindsay, from Torrance in California, as she snorkelled with her family.
The 21-year-old student's right arm was torn off, while she also suffered bites across her legs, left arm and buttocks, Paul Roll, deputy commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, said.
Ms Lindsay's parents and other family members had seen the sharks and shouted a warning, but she did not hear them, he added.
Although several tour boat workers were reported to have jumped into the water to try to save her following the incident on Wednesday, she was pronounced dead at Doctor's Hospital in the island's capital of Nassau.
