Boy (9) steals mother's car ‘because he didn’t want to go to school’

A FLORIDA boy was taken into to police custody after stealing his mother’s car.

The youngster, who has not been named, got in to an argument with his mother because he didn’t want to go to school.

Despite his protestations, his mother insisted he would be going to school.

In revenge, he stole her car keys and drove away from the family home.

It was 45 minutes before police pulled over the car some distance away from the house.

They were responding to reports from the public of a child driving a car.

It is not known whether the youth will face any charges.
