A BODY found in a Boston river has been confirmed as that of Sunil Tripath, the missing student who had been wrongly linked on social-media sites to the marathon bombing.
Officials in Rhode Island have confirmed that the body, found in a river running through the city of Providence, is that of Mr Tripath.
A cause of death is still be determined but the medical examiner said no foul play was suspected.
Mr Tripath, who last year suspended his studies at Brown after bouts of depression, had gone missing on March 16.
His body was found in the water behind the city's Wyndham Garden Providence hotel. (© Independent News Service)
