Six members of one family found shot dead by house maid
Six members of one family have been found shot dead in a house in southern Brazil, police said.
Officers said the bodies were found by the maid when she arrived for work at the property in Cordilheira Alta, a small farm town in Santa Catarina state.
Police said they suspect that Alcir Pederssetti committed suicide after killing his wife Monica, their 16-year-old daughter Lana, his in-laws Antonio and Luiza Moresco, and his sister-in-law Lucimar.
They added that the killings may have been motivated by Mr Pederssetti's anger over his wife's request for a divorce.
