A FLORIDA judge has become a viral sensation after sentencing a woman to jail time after she cursed at him and flipped him the finger.

18-year-old Penelope Soto was in court on drug possession charges, however judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat was unimpressed by the young woman’s attempts to endear herself.

After asking her how much she earned a week, the judge asked her how much her jewelry was worth – which caused Soto to laugh.

However the judge took her laughter to be a sign of disrespect, and set her bail at $5,000 (€3,700) before saying “bye bye”.

Soto responded “adios” as she walked away, which the judge took to be another sign of her disrespecting authority.

He called her back and doubled her bail to $10,000, before dismissing her by saying “adios”.

Soto, outraged by the increase in bail bond, said “f**k you” to the judge before flipping him the middle finger.

Shockingly the gesture doesn’t go down well with the already frustrated judge, who immediately sentences Soto to 30 days in prison for contempt.

The video has already clocked up over one million views on YouTube.
