Trouble in paradise?
Eva Mendes is reportedly using her ex-boyfriend as a shoulder to cry on.
The American actress’ relationship with her The Place Beyond the Pines co-star Ryan Gosling is reportedly going through a rocky patch.
Amid rumours they are on a different page when it comes to their future Eva, is said to have turned to her former flame George Augusto for emotional support. The pair dated from 2002 until 2010.
"Augusto seems to think Eva's done with Ryan - he claims it's just a matter of time before she dumps him officially,” a source told British magazine Heat. “She's been crying on his shoulder about her problems with Ryan wanting to settle down - and as a result Eva and George have become close again."
Ryan is allegedly keen to start a family with his girlfriend but she is hesitant and unsure about such a big commitment. It is believed the same happened with George after eight years together.
"History is repeating itself with Ryan. He'd love kids and marriage but she's not ready," the insider added.
Eva has previously voiced her opinion on traditional values. She insists she doesn’t feel the need to stick to them and would rather live life in her own way than follow society’s rules.
"I don't wanna have kids... I love the little suckers; they're so cute. But I love sleep so much, and I worry about everything," she said in 2007. "I feel like the institution of marriage is a very archaic kinda thing. I don't think it fits in my world today.”
